Music & Myth Workshops

Inclusive workshops for any age or venue. Workshops can be tailor-made to suit your requirements. A great stimulus for creative writing, music performance, all areas of the curriculum, French, emotional well-being, drama, art and so much more.

For Instance:
  • Beowulf – The Legend of Beowulf set to music is a great stimulus to creative writing, music composition, Saxon history, building monsters in design and technology or through graphic programmes such as Bryce!

  • ‘When the Moon Fell Asleep’ is an original tale which lends itself to percussion composition, the science of day and night, and art work with various media.

  • The North American Myth of a drum battle between Lone Man and the Spotted Eagle Hoita is wonderful for developing beginner’s drumming and percussion composition, exploring other cultures, debating settlement and conquest, movement, drama, and so much more.

  • ‘The Child with One Note’ is a hilarious original story and a lovely way for children to develop understanding of the texture, timbre, and dynamics of music. It is also a great starting point for debate and discussion about teamwork, conformity and expectations among other things. Also used to promote creative and innovative thinking in service development.
